NEW ZEALAND WHITE WINES

Allan Scott Pinot Gris Marlborough Region - 13%

The colour hits you first - a vibrant rose gold colour that gives away the skin contact factor of the 2016 Pinot Gris. Pinot Gris is a variety that can have both white and red grapes in a bunch, giving the wine some skin contact makes the brilliant colour. Fortunately this also helps with aromas and delivers lifted honey-suckle, dew drop melons and a light vanilla marshmallow, like a summer stone fruit cocktail from the pool bar in most Fiji resorts. Said maceration also carries onto the palate, that while delicate and ripe peachy, with a hint of Nashi, it also has a zingy spice like Auntie May’s sweet fruit cobbler but a mouthfeel and weight to balance it all out leaving your mouth just salivating enough to want more.

Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc Malborough Region - 12.5%

Crisp, fresh, tasty. All you would expect from a classic Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. Grapefruit and crisp minerality. Dry finish with a racy acidity.

Allan Scott Chardonnay Marlborough Region - 13%

Butterscotch and pecan crumble over white flesh nectarines and the freshness of a pineapple Fruju down by the Wairau River in the summertime. Smokey overtones with a creaminess that layers over the lingering pineapple, backed up by the heirloom grapefruit fresh from the backyard, these characters all combine their unique acid profiles that blend to give Marlborough Chardonnay its unique fruit forward freshness, yet still speak to its classical French inspiration. Definitely one we would share with anything from grilled crispy skin salmon, wood roasted rotisserie chicken or even a slow cooked bbq rolled pork roast.

Allan Scott Riesling Malborough Region - 11%

Floral and lemon aromas with subtle underlying tropical notes, follow seamlessly through to the palate. Beautifully balanced with mouth-watering acidity resulting in a truly fruity wine with a long lingering finish.

Riesling is a preferred accompaniment to a wide range of foods. This wine is especially enjoyable with savoury and spicy dishes, with cheese or simply on its own. Best served lightly chilled, Allan Scott Riesling is guaranteed to improve for many years if carefully cellared.
